I am currently a second year medical student interested in ophthalmology and rare diseases!
My interest in ophthalmology began during my junior year of undergrad, when I began research at Cleveland Clinic's Cole Eye Institute. Before medical school, I dedicated one year to basic science ophthalmology research. Since starting medical school, I have at researched within various ophthalmology subspecialties, including glaucoma, retina, and strabismus.
Outside of research, I have an interest in rare diseases that began through my involvement in the Global Genes RARE Compassion program. I have been involved in the rare disease community and am working to promote rare disease education for medical students.
